Calling all chocoholics: There’s a freakin’ FREE chocolate festival taking place in London this weekend!

Chocolate beans, chocolate cakes, chocolate ganache, chocolate sauce… If you, like yours truly, have troubles containing your fluids at the thought of this, you’d be silly not to head to the Southbank Centre for a fix at the Christmas Chocolate Festival this weekend. With workshops, chocolate tastings, cooking demonstrations and countless stalls, you almost certainly won’t be disappointed until the horrible time when they close for the night and the security guard has to drag you away from the premises.

There will be tutorials in chocolate tasting and chocolate making throughout the weekend. On Saturday at 12, you can learn how to be a chocolate connoisseur in three easy steps. If you’re more high-brow than that, you will have the opportunity to be part of a new taste-mapping test that ‘discerns notes and nuances’ in chocolate. In other words, you’ll be doing what every sensible being on this planet must surely have as first priority on their list of dream jobs – being a chocolate taster!

This unbelievable event takes place outside the Royal Festival Hall, so wear your winter coat, or keep yourself warm with some freshly made hot chocolate from one of the stalls.
