With the UK general election drawing closer the battle for 10 Downing St has started to dominate the British media and speculation is rife as to who will win.

Recent polls have shown Labour and Conservatives to be very close indeed. Conservatives have been losing the lead they had previously enjoyed and the expression hung parliament keeps coming up. But what exactly is a hung parliament and what would it mean post-election?
